This is your typical Gov camp site as far as amenities. Water, pit toilet, table, and fire ring, $10.00.
10 sites, I went for # 4. I could of had any of them for I was I only one there.
Great fun on a bike.
The swimming hole was cool. Short walk on the trail east of site # 8 and what a killer place. Medium steep for a very short leg.
Bugs were bad too.
What sets Matthews apart, is where it's at!
I came in from Callahan and that road is tight, lots of rocks in roadway.
Very out of the way place, well worth the effort!
I Was able to gather up enough dead wood for a fire, but not that much around close.
